By air

The Seychelles International Airport is the only international airport in the Seychelles.

Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, operates weekly flights between Mahé and seven major cities: Frankfurt, Johannesburg, London, Mauritius, Paris, Rome and Singapore.

Air Seychelles operates a shuttle service between Mahé and Praslin, with around 20 flights per day in each direction. They also operate other inter-island flights to Alphonse, Bird, Denis, Desroches, Frégate and North Islands.

Helicopter Seychelles is a privately-owned company, which provides shuttle services between Mahé, La Digue and Praslin. It also offers transfers to resort islands and scenic flights.

By sea

Cat Cocos, a fast and modern catamaran, operates two or three daily return trips between Mahé and Praslin.

The schooner "La Belle Seraphina" runs between Mahé and La Digue from Monday to Friday, at 11.30AM from Mahé, and around 5PM from La Digue.

The Inter-Island Ferry Co operates about seven daily return trips between Praslin and La Digue.

By land

In Seychelles, one drives on the left side of the street. Roads are generally well maintained but are narrow and winding.

  • Bus: SPTC buses run on a regular basis on Mahé and Praslin. Every village and hotel is served by at least one bus route.
  • Taxi: There are about 300 independently operated taxis on Mahé and Praslin. Taxis can be found at the airports and outside the larger hotels.
  • Car rental: is only available on Mahé and Praslin and is good to make advance reservations, especially in the high season.
  • Bicycle hire: Available on La Digue and Praslin.
  • Ox carts: Available on La Digue.
